THE SETUP
Pitt and North Carolina play a game with huge implications over who might win the ACC Coastal. The Panthers sit atop the division with a 4-1 ACC record with Virginia close behind at 4-2, Miami at 3-2 and North Carolina at 3-3. All four teams have legitimate chances to win the conference in the coming weeks, and if Pat Narduzzi hopes to make his second appearance in the ACC Championship Game in four seasons, this game is a must-win.
Tar Heels quarterback Sam Howell has fallen from being a preseason Heisman hopeful but is still dangerous, as his three touchdown performance in North Carolina's win over No. 9 Wake Forest last week showed. Kenny Pickett leads college football's highest scoring offense into a big game to see which offense can outscore the other.
