THE SETUP

Pitt plays Syracuse for the 66th year in a row for its regular season finale. It's a game that won't impact the Panthers' standing in the ACC after clinching the ACC Coastal division with a win over Virginia last week. But it's still a significant game for both teams.

The Panthers at 9-2 have the chance to win a tenth regular season for the first time since 1981 and keep the hope for a 12-win season alive and ride a four-game win streak into the ACC Championship Game next Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.

Meanwhile, the Orangemen are fighting for bowl eligibility at the end of what's been a roller coaster season. Pitt brings the ACC's top rushing defense against Syracuse's rushing offense that also ranks as the best in the conference.
