Pitt gets its chance to rebound after being routed Wednesday night by Vanderbilt against UMBC. The Panthers go up against the 2020-2021 champions of the American Eastern Conference, and the program that's the only 16-seed in the history of the NCAA Tournament to defeat a 1-seed when it knocked off Virginia in Mar. 2018.
Jeff Capel's Panthers haven't played well enough to look over any opponent, and with the way they've been routed in both their games against teams from power five conferences, games like this are opportunities they cannot pass up on.
