THE SETUP
Pitt got back to .500 with back-to-back wins over UNC Wilmington and Towson, but now faces a power five conference opponent in Vanderbilt.
The Commodores come in with a lot of star power, and not just their head coach in former NBA star Jerry Stackhouse. Through four games, Vanderbilt's forward Jordan Wright averages 18.8 points per game for the fourth-highest rate among SEC teams. Right behind him with 16.5 points per game is Scotty Pippen Jr., who's sixth in SEC scoring.
Pitt is still a team trying to figure out its identity and will keep the very young starting lineup Jeff Capel has deployed in the Panthers' first four games. It's a real test to go up against some star power for the first time on the team's schedule.
