THE SETUP
Pitt follows up a heartbreaker of a loss to Minnesota on Tuesday with its first ACC game and second road game of the season against Virginia. Jeff Capel will have to rally his Panthers against Tony Bennett's Cavaliers, a program that's boasted plenty of success, including a national championship in 2019.
The Panthers saw their best offensive success come against Minnesota when feeding forward John Hugley IV and letting him be the focal point of the offense. But with no other players scoring in the double digits, Pitt was extremely limited on offense. Bennett has been known as a great defensive coach for Virginia and will most likely have his players work hard to neutralize Hugley. Expect someone else to have to step up for Pitt if the Panthers want to pull off an upset.
