• That's game. Four losses in a row for the Dukes.
• Minutemen are currently on a 10-3 run.
• UMass has its largest lead of the game at 58-48 with 1:33 to go. Dukes look to be on their way to a fourth straight loss.
• Dukes are just 2 for 16 from three-point range and 9 for 18 from the free-throw line. Just ugly.
• UMass on a 5-0 run over the last minute. Diggins starting to heat up for the Minutemen. He's hit four of his last five shots. Dukes are scoreless over the last 1:31 and have hit just one of their last 15 three-point attempts.
• Duquesne will now have to play without two of their bigs. Wilborn fouled out and now DavidDixon leaves favoring his right knee. Currently trying to walk it off near the Dukes' bench. Dukes lead 41-38 with 7:59 to go.
• The three ball is not falling today. Teams are a combined 3 for 22 from long range in this one.
• Wilborn has fouled out with under 14 minutes to go in the game. The kid has a ton of talent. Has really struggled to stay on the floor and avoid foul trouble.
• Duquesne leads 33-29 at the media timeout with 15:36. Necas just came through with a big putback after a few misses by Wilborn. Drew a foul, too, so he'll head to the line for one more when we resume play. Necas did go down hard after, holding his knee. Appears to be OK after getting to his feet.
• Dinkins just delivered a phenomenal behind-the-back pass to Crawford for a bucket inside. Made it a one-point game. Wow.
• Both teams have experienced rather ugly first halves offensively. UMass shooting 33.3%, Dukes at 27.3%. Combined 17 turnovers with UMass having a 9-8 edge in that category. Dukes trail 19-18 with 4:16 left in the first half.
• UMass starting to get some easy buckets inside.
• All three of the Dukes' bigs are playing a big role early. Necas had a nice pass that led to Hronsky's bucket and now Wilborn comes up with a block on the defensive end.
• First start of the season, first make of the day for Hronsky. Puts Duquesne on the board with a three. Dukes are also locking down defensively in the early going. Just forced a shot-clock violation.
• No ChabiBarre again for the Dukes. Missed Wednesday's game against Saint Joseph's. Hamstring injury lingering again.
• Duquesne's starting five: Tre Dinkins III, Cam Crawford, Matus Hronsky (first start this season), Eli Wilborn, Jakub Necas.
• I've made my way from Cranberry to Uptown for some afternoon hoops. Hope you'll stick around and join me for this one.
