Basketball: Grant to play for Knicks in NBA Summer League
Former Duquesne guard Dae Dae Grant is one of 17 players that will compete for the New York Knicks under head coach JordanBrink in the NBA 2K26 Summer League July 10-20 on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas.
Grant, who spent two seasons at Duquesne, joins the Knicks after completing his first professional season in 2024-25 with KK Feniks 2010 Skopje of the First League North Macedonia, KK SPD Radnički in the Basketball League of Serbia, as well as Río Breogán of Liga ACB in the Spanish League.
Grant appeared in 23 games for Río Breogán, averaging 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while converting 40.6% of his attempts from three-point range and 86.7% at the free-throw line. He scored in double figures in 17 contests, eclipsing the 20-point plateau on five occasions, including a season-high 26-point performance in a 104-93 win over Bàsquet Manresa.
Grant led the Dukes in scoring during the 2023-24 season, averaging 16.4 points per game. He led the Atlantic 10 Conference and ranked third in NCAA Division I in free-throw percentage, knocking down 146 of his 155 (94.2%) opportunities from the free-throw line. Grant was named the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship Most Outstanding Player after averaging 16.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals en route to helping Duquesne earn the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship and the program's first automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament since 1977.
