Wisconsin beat Ohio State, 3-2, to win the Frozen Four, hosted by Penn State at Pegula Ice Arena, repeating as national champions. Coached by former Penguin and Olympic hero Mark Johnson, this is the program's ninth national championship, all under Johnson, including three of the last four seasons, all one-goal victories over Ohio State.

Captain Lacy Eden became the first women's player to win four national championships (2021, 2023, 2025, 2026), assisting on the opening goal. The Badgers took a 2-0 lead inthe first period, but two goals two minutes apart by the Buckeyes tied it up five minutes into the third. My take: Good hockey game. Johnson's done an amazing job, with nine titles in 24 seasons, winning multiples in each decade — the aughts, 2010s and 2020s. Penn State did a stellar job hosting the event — a first for the university.
