Again, ti will only be used for first down situations, though i don't understand why the goal line can't be considered. Goodell makes logical points about the shape of the ball compared to tennis and the obstruction that bodies can present on tackles and camera views. But he should be leaning into this instead of makig the excuses for why it won't work perfectly.
