Aaron Judge addressed his rib injury Friday, a fracture that will keep him out of the Yankees lineup for four to six weeks.
Judge said he originally suffered the injury in April, while diving to make a catch in the outfield. He said he's been battling discomfort since, but the pain increased dramatically last week, too much to be able to swing a bat. He balked on discussing the length of his recovery but was confident he will be back this season.
My take: The Yankees will be just fine, and this explains why Judge has struggled at the plate ... for him ... with just a .907 OPS, 17 home runs and 38 RBIs. Here's hoping he's back healthy soon. Best hitter in the game.
