Tiger Woods, through his attorney, Douglas Duncan, announced he will be seeking rehabilitation treatment overseas. Woods is entering the unnamed facility, after his attorney received permission for the request from the Florida judge assigned to his case. In a motion, Duncan presented that Woods' physician's recommendation for the facility due to his "complex clinical presentation," citing an "urgent need" for specialized care not available in the U.S., combined with concerns over the invasion of Woods' privacy, which would hinder his recovery.
Woods said Tuesday he was "stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally."
My take: Seems he'll be getting the help he needs, here's hoping Woods commits and sticks with it.
