Heat center Bam Adebayo scored 83 points in a 150-129 win over the Wizards at Kaseya Center in Miami, the second-most ever in an NBA game, to Wilt Chamberlain's 100 against the Knicks in 1962.
Adebayo shot 20 of 43 from the floor and was 36 of 43 from the free-throw line, the last two of those passing Kobe Bryant's previous second-best mark of 81 points against the Raptors in 2006. He had 31 points in the first quarter, which is fifth-most all-time for points in one quarter (Klay Thompson's 37 is the record).
Adebayo also had 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
My take: 43 free throws, Yikes. 83 points and he missed 23 shots.
