Joe Flacco signed a one-year contract Tuesday to be Joe Burrow's backup with the Bengals, but he believes at age 41 that some team should have signed him to compete for a starting job.

"Believe me, I wish I was a guy somewhere," Flacco said to assembled media Wednesday, And I think teams are dumb for not having me be that guy.

"Not being one of those guys to go sign somewhere, yeah, it pisses me off a little bit. But at the same time, I'm very happy to be here."

Flacco began 2025 with the Browns and was then traded to the Bengals to take over for an ineffective Jake Browning, with Burrow injured. He was 2-8 in 10 starts, completing 60.3 percent of his passes for 2,479 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

My take: The Steelers made him look like an All-Pro in one of those wins, take that away and he was Ordinary Joe. I appreciate the competitive spirit, but Flacco is divorced from reality to believe he's an NFL starter at this point.
