The Falcons fired new assistant defensive line coach LaTroy Lewis after a rape allegation was made public Thursday night by the New York Times.
Lewis is alleged to have raped the unnamed woman, whom he met through a dating app, in Ann Arbor, Mich., on December 5, 2024, while he was a member of Sherrone Moore's staff at the University of Michigan.
The alleged victim claims she notified Moore but he refused to report Lewis and sent "lewd and sexually explicit text messages to her, according to the woman's attorney.
Moore's attorney denied the allegations. Lewis denied the allegation against him, according to his attorney, and looks forward to working to clear his name.
My take: Can there be anything else that former UM staff can be attached to? Good grief.
