The Packers have traded receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Eagles for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
Wicks, 24, was a fifth-round pick in 2023 out of Virginia. In three seasons with Green Bay, he caught 108 passes for 1,328 yards and 11 touchdowns, playing 50 percent of offensive snaps.
Wicks has agreed to terms with the Eagles on a one-year, $12.5-million contract extension for 2027. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract, making $3.67 million.
My take: This is a tough one to judge, and time will reveal it, but I see this as either an underpay or an overpay. The Eagles added him for depth, as it's unlikely he will supplant Hollywood Brown as QB3. If so, he's not worth two picks, especially one as high as a fifth. If he can get targets (maybe the Eagles are close to dealing A.J. Brown) he's shown he can produce (12.3 yards per catch) and the price coould end up cheap.
