No. 1 Arizona beat No. 2 Purdue, 79-64, with Purdue held to just nine baskets made in the second half. No. 3 Illinois ended No. 9 Iowa's Cinderella run with a 71-59 win.
Illinois advances to the Final Four for the first time in 21 years and will face the winner of Duke-UConn; Arizona is making its first trip in a quarter-century and gets the winner of Michigan-Tennessee.
My take: Arizona was impressive once it got going. Good size, multiple scorers, physical, rebounded well ... very similar to Michigan, who they are likely to play next. The Illinin will be decided undedogn
