The Mammoth scored four unanswered goals through the first 30 minutes and then held on in a 4-2 win over the Golden Knights at Delta Center in Salt Lake City — the first playoff home game in franchise history — taking a two games to one series lead
Utah got two goals from Lawson Crouse, but the team only had 12 total shots in the game. Vegas peppered Mammoth goalie Karel Vejmelka with 32 shots, but he was equal to the task for most of the evening, in second-star performance.
My take: Not going to win many playoff games with 12 shots on goal, but they made them count. That can't happen again. They did well with shot volume in Vegas, so they'll strive to make it a one-off.
