This is the second consecutive year that all four No. 1 seeds have made the Final Four and the fifth time in the last 20 years.
There was little competition for any of this year's teams on their way to Phoenix. In the four games each played, UConn's average margin of victory was 35; South Carolina, 40.25; UCLA, 27; Texas, 37.25.
My take: In the last 20 years, only 18 teams not ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in their regions have made the women's Final Four, and only three above a 4-seed. In essence, there are eight good teams, which makes for a boring tournament when it's that top-heavy.
