A Charlottesville Circuit Court judged ruled that Morris was not eligible for a redshirt season at TCU in 2022, having played in four games and dressed for more. Morris suffered a major knee injury in Week 1 that year,
Morris played with four schools in his six years: Oklahoma, TCU (three seasons), North Texas and Virginia. He led the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship Game last season, going 11-3, but a loss to Duke in the title game cost them a chance at the 12-team national championship playoff.
My take: So many of these players who got the extra COVID year — a maximum six years with a redshirt — sought even more eligibility. The guy played at four schools. In the olden times (not so olden) he would have had to sit out a season after each transfer.He showed some professional promise his year at North Texas, but if he's going to play on Sunday's it going to be as the undrafted emergency-quarterback.
