Howden forced a turnover off a terrific forecheck by the penalty-kill unit and wristed one past Karel Vejmelka to end things at 5:28:
The Mammoth were on the brink of taking the game in regulation after third-period goals from Dylan Guenther and Michael Carcone gave them a 4-3 lead, but Pavel Dorofeyev netted a hat trick, scoring with the goalie pulled and just 53 seconds remaining to send it to overtime. My take: This series has been so close. That's consecutive 5-4 overtime wins for Vegas to take the series lead, but this thing's far from over. The Mammoth need to summon a response because a Game 7 between these two teams would be wonderful.
