Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has become the highest-paid receiver in the NFL, by average annual value, after agreeing to a four-year, $168.6-million contract extension ($42.15 million AAV), with $120 million guaranteed and a $35 million signing bonus.
Smith-Njigba, 24, was named the AP Offensive Player of the Year for the 2025 season, his third since being drafted by Seattle, catching 119 passes for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns.
My take: Inching closer and closer to top quarterback money. In fact, the AAV on this deal is more than Matthew Stafford will make with the Rams, more money than all but 13 NFL QBs.
