Kirill Kaprizov had an empty-net goal and two assists (a series-best six now) as the Wild dominated the Stars for much of the game in a 4-2 win at American Airlines Center in Dallas, putting the Stars on the brink of elimination, down three games to two with Game 6 in St. Paul.
Jake Oettinger made some 10-bell saves to keep the Stars in it, but the Wild limited Dallas' offense to just 22 shots, with Jesper Wallstedt standing tall in net when 11 of those came in the third period.
My take: For a night with two elimination games, there really wasn't much drama outside Bruins–Sabres. Despite a relatively close score in Dallas, there was never a sense that Dallas was going to win.
