The Bills have agreed to a trade with the Bears which will send them receiver DJ Moore in exchange for 2026 second- and fifth-round picks. The Bears will assume $8 million of Moore's fully guaranteed $23.5 million in 2026. Another $23.5 million in 2027 becomes fully guaranteed next week, unless the Bills rework the deal.
A former first-round pick of the Panthers in 2018, Moore played the last three seasons in Chicago, catching 96 and 98 passes his first two seasons, but seeing a dramatic drop-off in 2025, down to 50 catches for 687 yards and six touchdowns, though at a career average 13.6 yards per catch.
Moore has been very durable in his career, missing only two games in eight seasons. He has 608 catches for 8,213 yards and 41 touchdowns.
My take: A huge get for the Bills. This is the type of dependable receiver Josh Allen's needed since Stefon Diggs flaked on the them. Good on routes, combat catches, and run blocking. Good team guy, a veteran who can maybe solve the team's Keon Coleman problem. All that said, they still need more at the position.
