The NHLPA on Friday released the results of its annual player poll, and some Penguins players received recognition in various categories.
Sidney Crosby won the vote for which player could make a great coach post-retirement with 10.3% of the vote. Crosby also finished third in the voting for which forward could excel as a defenseman with 3.2% of the vote, finishing behind Aleksander Barkov (18%) and Mitch Marner (10.8%).
Erik Karlsson finished third in the inverse -- which defenseman could excel as a forward -- with 4.3% of the vote, trailing Cale Makar (36.3%) and Quinn Hughes (21%).
Kris Letang finished third in voting for the most intense training regimen with 4% of the vote, behind Nathan MacKinnon (20.7%) and Connor McDavid (5.5%).
The Penguins and Flyers also finished third in the voting for best rivalry with 9.3% of the vote, behind Canadiens-Maple Leafs (43.5%) and Canadiens-Bruins (17.7%).
