Sidney Crosby skated today in Cranberry with just a member of the Penguins’ staff and a practice goalie.
He did a lot of stickhandling and shooting work, but didn’t seem to be limited at all in the skating he did. Moving with speed, making turns, crossing over in both directions.
Crosby was only ever on regular seven-day injured reserve to open up a roster spot because the Penguins didn't need the cap relief that comes with long-term injured reserve. He's eligible to come off of injured reserve at any point now.
