Penguins defenseman Caleb Jones underwent right shoulder surgery and has an expected recovery time of four to six months. He’s expected to be ready for the start of next season, a season in which he is already under contract with the Penguins.
Jones sustained the shoulder injury during his conditioning stint while recovering from a lower-body injury. He was given a 20-game suspension for performance enhancing drugs during his recovery from the shoulder injury, something he said was related to something he took for the recovery process.
