► FOLLOW ALONG

Team Stevens wins.
• The championship is going to a shootout.
• Tie game with just over four minutes left. Iiro Hakkarainen with his third of the day. Undrafted free agent forward from Western Michigan. Team Stevens 2, Team Patrick 2
• Finn-on-Finn violence. Emil Jarventie with a big hit on Emil Pieniniemi, Pieniniemi slashes him over the legs as they're skating away.
• Seven minutes remain.
• Team Stevens immediately capitalizes on the power pay. Ryan Miller beats Gabriel D'Aigle.
• Power play coming up for Team Stevens after Harrison Brunicke is called for a hold.
• Oh, man. Brady Peddle with a shot that misses the net. Kale Dach picks up the puck and does a no-look between-the-legs pass behind him and finds Brayden Edwards but Edwards can't bury it.
• Looked like Nolan Renwick almost had a breakaway but Harrison Brunicke caught up and stripped him of the puck.
• Team Patrick doubles the lead. Carter Sanderson puts in his own rebound. Team Patrick 2, Team Stevens 0.
• Kalle Kangas was just in prime position with the puck in the slot but couldn't get a shot off. Tried arguing for a hooking call but officials aren't having it.
• Team Patrick takes the game's first lead. Chase Pietila with his second goal of the day. Team Patrick 1, Team Stevens 0
• Gabriel D'Aigle stops Emil Pieniniemi for the game's first shot.
• In net: Gabriel D'Aigle for Team Patrick, Joshua Kotai for Team Stevens. Rematch of Game 1.
• Onto the championship, a rematch of the first game of the day. Team Stevens vs. Team Patrick.
• Brisebois stopped 11 of 14, Feldbergs stopped 6 of 9.
• Shootout, best-of-three and then sudden death rounds if still tied:
Round 1: Avery Hayes is stopped . Will Horcoff misses the net.
Round 2: Ben Kindel scores. Great goal as he's falling. Cruz Lucius scores.
Round 3: Harrison Brunicke scores. Oliver Tulk is stopped.
Team Patrick goes to the Final.
• End of regulation, this is going to a shootout. I think the winner goes to the Final against Team Stevens.
• Harrison Brunicke ties the game with 8.9 seconds left with the extra attacker. Team Patrick 3, Team Johnston 3.
• Team Patrick pulls its goaltender.
• Ben Kindel has a rocket of a shot.
• Harrison Brunicke has been good, but he also doesn't look like an NHLer vs. a bunch of minor-leaguers. But again, this isn't an evaluation tournament and nobody should be making broad takeaways off this.
• Will Horcoff with his second goal of the day. Just undressed Harrison Brunicke and took it to the net. Team Johnston 3, Team Patrick 2.
• Harrison Brunicke with a drop pass to Carter Sanderson, who gets a good shot off but is stopped.
• Heavy hit from Brady Peddle.
• Kalle Kangas, from his own end, just sprung Zach Urdahl on a breakaway. Urdahl tried to get slick and go between his legs for the shot but is stopped.
• Harrison Brunicke just hit the post.
• A little post-whistle feistiness between Travis Hayes and Tommy Budnick.
• Ben Kindel could have had a breakaway just now but couldn't get past Finn Harding. Not the fastest guy, but also not glaringly slow.
• About midway through this game.
• Laser of a wrister from Kale Dach that just gets gloved down.
• Tie game. Chase Pietila puts in a rebound. Team Patrick 2, Team Johnson 2.
• Team Patrick is on the board. Brady Peddle with a snipe from the blue line. Team Johnston 2, Team Patrick 1.
• Chase Pietila with back-to-back big hits on Mikhail Ilyin.

• Free agent defenseman Ty Hanson scores. Team Johnston 2, Team Patrick 0.
• Team Johnston goes 1-0. Cruz Lucius with the goal. Team Johnston 1, Team Patrick 0.
• Linards Feldbergs starts for Team Patrick. Justin BriseBois for Team Johnston.

• Team Johnston pulls the goalie again.
• Iiro Hakkarainen hits the empty net. Team Stevens 3, Team Johnston 1.
• Team Johnston pulls the goalie for the extra attacker with a minute left.
• Team Stevens takes the lead 30 seconds later. Defenseman David Breazeale. Team Stevens 2, Team Johnston 1
• Team Stevens ties it with just over two minutes to go. Ryan Miller with the goal. Team Stevens 1, Team Johnston 1.
• Oliver Tulk nearly gets one past Noah Erliden but Erliden lays down on his back and scrambles to keep it out.
• Brady Berard, as he's falling to his knees, finds Finn Harding and sets him up for a shot off the rush that's stopped by Noah Erliden.
• Will Horcoff looks like a giant compared to just about everyone else out there.
• Team Johnston gets a 4-on-3 power play after a hook. Brent Johnson with a big block on the PK early. The power play only ran for about a minute? Nothing happens.

• Mikhail Ilyin just connected on a pass through the legs of Aaron Huglen.
• Will Horcoff opens the scoring in this one with a shot from a bit of a distance. Team Johnston 1, Team Stevens 0.
• I'd say that Jake Sondreal and Quinn Beauchesne have been some of the more noticeable players so far, seems like they're behind every other scoring chance.
• Mikhail Ilyin just flattened Aaron Huglen.
• Team Johnston has Daniel Laatsch-Finn Harding starting on D. That could be a real pair in the minors this season, a physical one, too.
• Team Stevens and Team Johnston is about to start. Noah Erliden starts for Team Stevens, Ben Charette for Team Johnston.
• End of Game 1. Team Stevens 4, Team Patrick 0. Per Nic Lavigne, Gabriel D'Aigle stopped 12 of 15 shots and Joshua Kotai stopped all 10.
• Team Patrick pulls Gabriel D'Aigle for the extra attacker ... and Nolan Renwick hits the empty net. Team Stevens 4, Team Patrick 0.
• I'd say that Ben Kindel's skating hasn't been noticeable for good or bad. But the pace of this is below that of a preseason game, so. Not really the kind of environment for big takeaways.
• Defenseman Joona Vaisanen has been noticeable in a good way so far in terms of his offense. Setting a lot of guys up.
• Per Nic Lavigne, who is here helping out today, Gabriel D'Aigle is up to nine saves on 12 shots.

• Another one from Team Stevens. Undrafted free agent forward Jake Sondreal beats Gabriel D'Aigle. Neither of these have been on D'Aigle, really. Team Stevens 2, Team Patrick 0.
• The game has been about 80% in Gabriel D'Aigle's end so far. Nothing he's not used to from playing in Victoriaville.
• Team Stevens takes the lead. Gabriel D'Aigle made two back-to-back saves but didn't stop the third. Undrafted free agent forward Iiro Hakkarainen with the goal. Team Stevens 2, Team Patrick 0.
• Team Stevens and Team Patrick are underway. Joshua Kotai and Gabriel D'Aigle in net. D'Aigle makes an early save.
• For anyone here: Team Stevens is in black, Team Patrick is in gold, Team Johnston is in white.
