A third-period rally and a pair of tying goals from Anthony Mantha forced overtime for the Penguins and set the stage for Tommy Novak's overtime goal in the Penguins' 5-4 win over the Bruins on Sunday.
A power-play goal from Pavel Zacha opened the scoring in the first period, and Zacha and a tally from David Pastrnak put the Penguins in a three-goal hole midway through the second. Egor Chinakhov finally solved Joonas Korpisalo with a power-play goal late in the second.
Connor Dewar made it a one-goal game with a backhand shot early in the third period, and Mantha tied the game 33 seconds later. Zacha completed the hat trick to regain the lead for Boston, only for Mantha to again tie the game shortly after.
