Defenseman Sebastian Aho signed with Växjö of the Swedish Hockey League. Aho, 30, spent the last two years in the Penguins' organization on an NHL contract. He played a total of 56 games with Wilkes-Barre over two years, recording two goals and 26 assists.
Aho is the second NHL-contracted Penguin to sign in Europe this summer, after Joona Koppanen signed in Sweden the day after Wilkes-Barre's elimination.
