The Penguins are back to work with an 11 a.m. practice this morning after a scheduled day off yesterday. I'll have live updates below.
► FOLLOW ALONG
• This small-area two-on-two drill came down to the last score and there's a huge debate over the last score. Yellow (not Malkin's team) thought they won. Big debate ensues, they replay it, black wins. Huge celebration. Lizotte (on yellow) breaks his stick and throws it. Malkin yells at the yellow team while they do pushups.
• Yet another drill where pushups are the consequence, Evgeni Malkin's side loses and he gets away with half the pushups. So good.
• Nikita Malkin is on the bench watching practice.
• Ville Koivunen is now taking rushes on defense alongside Matt Dumba. So, it's Connor Clifton as the definite third-pairing defenseman. Still amazing Koivunen is even out here this early.
• Here are the lines and pairings. Reminder that Bryan Rust is ill, so this isn't necessarily what they'd do on Wednesday:

• I like how when there's a drill where the punishment for one side is pushups, Evgeni Malkin is the first one to yell at guys when his side wins if guys on the losing side aren't doing pushups up to his standards. But his side just lost now, and I counted five pushups from him while everyone else did ten. He's the best.
• Ryan Graves is back on the ice.
• Didn't see what happened to him buy Ryan Graves is hurting. He's on the bench with an athletic trainer, shaking out/flexing his left leg.
• Full attendance for practice, other than Bryan Rust.
• Bryan Rust is sick and will not practice today.
• Tristan Broz is here after being recalled this morning.
• Huh. Ville Koivunen, who is week-to-week with a lower-body injury, is on the ice for practice in a regular jersey.
• Director of player development Tom Kostopoulos is in town and on the ice for practice. He's typically based in Ontario but travels.
• Looks like Tristan Jarry will be joining the Penguins for practice.
