The Nailers lost 7-3 on Saturday to the Maine Mariners in Portland, Maine, falling to a 1-1 record to open the season.
Goals from Aidan Sutter and Matthew Quercia had the Nailers up 2-1 late in the first, but the Mariners scored the next six goals to run away with the game. Nolan Renwick scored in the final minute to make it a 7-3 game.
