Arturs Silovs had a grin when talking about the "roller coaster of emotions" he faced through the Penguins' 5-4overtime win over the Bruins on Sunday.
"You know, not the best goal to give up for the third one behind the net," he said, referring to his flub that was quickly capitalized on by David Pastrnak:
Whoops.
That goal put the Penguins in a 3-0 hole, and obviously isn't a great one to be giving up. But what was impressive was how Silovs responded, going on to stop 12 of the next 13 shots he faced to keep the Penguins in the fight as they rallied back.
"That's not an easy one to come back from as a goaltender," Erik Karlsson said. "But he's been so good for us all year. We owed him that one."
"Mistakes happen," Anthony Mantha said. "When it's a goalie, it's just more flagrant than when it's a player. We've got his back like has has ours."
