Arturs Silovs returned to the Penguins' practice on Sunday for the first time since he made his Olympic debut with Latvia in Milan. Silovs was in net for Latvia's lone win of the tournament over Germany, the country's first win at the Olympics since 2014 and only their fourth win ever.
Silovs said it would have been nice to make it to the quarterfinals, but he's proud of what they were able to do in the tournament.
"You want to win the games," he said. "It was a great feeling beating Germany. It's not an easy task, they have a great players. And for us, I think it was a good accomplishment."
Silovs stopped 26 of 29 shots in that win, including ten from Germany's greatest, Leon Draisaitl.
"He had a lot of opportunities," Silovs said. "I just tried to play the best I can. It doesn't matter who's in front of me or against me, I just want to stop the puck."
