“It was really special," he said later. "Pittsburgh's an unbelievable sports town. Going into the game, I knew they’d do something, but obviously Sidney Crosby’s the biggest athlete here, so I’m sure they were cheering for Canada, as well. But obviously a lot of proud Americans in the crowd tonight. That was something I’ll always remember every time I come back to Pittsburgh."
