Kris Letang is in Los Angeles, and while he's there he's working with a new trainer Ben Bruno.
Bruno shared a few clips of Letang on Instagram, and wrote that he's "convinced that Letang might not be human. In his first week training with me, he’s already broken a few gym records … and he also broke my personal record for walking lunges up my hill, doing 260 pounds for two sets of six reps per leg like it’s nothing. The trainer in me loves this so much, but it’s also super annoying because I’ve crushed myself on that hill for 10 years and he just strolls in and beats me on the first try. How rude!"
Bruno added that it's "no wonder he’s coming up on his 20th year in the NHL, which is honestly insane when you stop and think about that. He’s obviously supremely talented, but his work ethic is also second to none. He’s the only guy I’ve ever trained who requests super heavy rear foot elevated splits, and our biggest issue is finding ways to load heavy enough because he’s maxed out the weights."
