Just rewatched the opening period, for one purpose, and here's what came of it:
• On the Penguins' first 12 approaches to the Philadelphia blue line, they dumped or chipped it deep seven times, they entered cleanly with possession five times, and 11 of those 12 approaches resulted in sustained zone time plus a 9-4 edge in shots on goal.
• On their next six approaches, right around the middle of the period, ALL SIX RIGHT IN A ROW, they turned the puck over to the Flyers because they regressed into trying those same stupid sideways passes ... and they never reverted to doing the right thing.

That's the game. That's the series.
That's coaching.
