The goaltending depth in the organization keeps getting crazier -- Gabriel D'Aigle signed with Wheeling to finish the season.
D'Aigle, 19, was the Penguins' third-round pick last summer. He signed his entry-level contract this spring and could turn pro next season, or he could go back to the QMJHL for another year if that's what is best for him.
With Sergei Murashov currently in Pittsburgh, that leaves Joel Blomqvist and Taylor Gauthier in the AHL, and just D'Aigle in Wheeling. The Nailers' other (solid) goaltender Maxim Pavlenko is injured, so they've been rolling with an emergency backup.
