• GOAL. Philadelphia.
• Get it to Dewar.
• Novak robbed by Vladar's goal. One of these will beat him. Has to.
• Half of everyone in here is standing, but they're so quiet. Strange scene.
• Oh, the chances, the chances, they just keep coming.
• Dewar wants to win this game.
• Dewar's had a terrific OT. He's got the right idea. Every time he gets it, he puts it on Vladar.
• More possession for the first line.
• That said, Mantha's passivity there ... it's a turnoff. Kindel and Soderblom were killing themselves for that puck. He just watched.
• Third line scrambles like crazy in and around the Philadelphia crease. Puck was loose the whole time. Could see it from up here. Great job by the ref to NOT blow the whistle.
• Now Acciari with the redirect right in front. Nope. This is getting crazy, actually.
• So close for the first line. Man, they've done everything but finish. Everything.
• More pressure, this time from the fourth line.
• Really shows which players are freshest. Which is to say, Chinakhov really stands out.
• Can't be passing up shots here, fellas. It's playoff overtime. Be that guy.
• Strong defensive work for Geno.
• Acciari with a wrister. Easy save for Vladar.
• Mantha with his second ghastly giveaway of the night. Again bailed out by Silovs.
• Good dump/pressure forces a draw to the left of Vladar.
• Puck drops. Here we go. And remember, these are the GOOD times. :)
• However nervous you might be, multiply that by 1,975, and you'll have what's in here.
• The Penguins outshot the Flyers, 13-5, in the third period. Did everything but win it. Overall, shots are now 32-26 in their favor.
• Headed to overtime. First time in these playoffs. Bound to happen.
• This place is SO TIGHT. Can feel it. Just 1:16 left.
• Oh, spectacular chance for Rust right in front ... he tries the Rusty, and it doesn't go.
• Feel like I have to say this now for it to count, but the Penguins are playing a hell of a hockey game here. They really are.
• Girard with a gruesome giveaway to Cates. Silovs bails him out. Point blank. Yikes.
• More Grade-A chances, this time for the second line. Letang, Malkin, Chinakhov ... not yet.
• Kindel and Mantha both with quality chances. Noet yet.
• Good glove by Silovs on a Michkov wrister from the left dot off the rush.
• The Penguins are in their own passive stance here. Really passive, as in 1-2-2. Interesting.
• Chinakhov streaks down th eleft side and wrists one on Vladar. Baby steps.
• Sid's dangerous around the Philadelphia net not once but twice. Can't get it to go.
• All day for Novak in front. Passes to the side. Honestly, I don't think he would've scored if he shot. Just saying. I'm in a straight line behind him here, and there was nothing.
• Penguins kill the Letang penalty.
• Third is underway.
• The Flyers lead in shots (21-19, shot attempts (35-34) and high-danger chances (9-5).
• That's period. Looks like it'll close with a Letang rough on Konecny right in front. They watched Konecny cross-check Letang and called the retaliation, but only because Konecny went down like he was dead. What a league.
• Kindel nearly gets his best chance of the series. Puck through him at the crease. He could use one, too.
• Geno had the wheels on that shifts. Encouraging.
• Michkov gets a partial break, but Silovs' left arm stops him. Remember that one.
• The more the Penguins keep having shifts like that one by the Sid line, the more these fans are moaning and groaning. They are who they are. It's a factor.
• Chinakhov's best chance of the series bangs off the left pipe. PP2 getting stuff done, at least. The PP1 shift was putrid.
• Glendening's off for a slash. Rare penalty after the whistle. Better make this one count.
• What pressure from the Penguins. Nearly two full minutes in the Philadelphia zone, beginning with passionate work from the fourth line.
• That's period. Shots are 12-11 for the visitors. Flyers up, 16-15, in shot attempts. Silovs was the best player on either side.
• Fairly thorough kill, capped by Dewar nearly poking one past Vladar at the far end.
• Fourth line brings the bang, but Acciari ends it going off for a hold ... that's the wrong call. Dude skated into his left arm that was holding the stick along the end boards.
• Nothing on that. One nice sequence.
• A lot better from PP1. They're not putting the puck to the middle, but they did get people there. Works all the same.
• Soderblom gets stuck in the face by Drysdale. He'll sit. Right in front of the ref, too.
• The intensity's super-high. The visitors are matching it.
• Silovs' first ugly rebound. He's making the first save, though. Looks sharp in that regard.
• Five turnovers at the blue line already.
• Geno shoots on a two-on-one with Sid. Right call. Not much to the shot.
• Tippett gets a good chance on Silovs, tries to Rusty it around him, but Silovs sticks that left toe way out there. Solovyov can't get beaten like that.
• Early shot for Chinakhov, then a tip. That's ideal.
• Good wrister off the rush for Karlsson. Vladar didn't have an easy time gloving it.
• Obvious already the Flyers' plan will be to just put the puck on Silovs, crash, screen, all that.
• Back-to-back icings isn't awesome, but they've been misfires, not panic.
