Surprise: Here's one more Survey Says this season. Totally forgot I had this one, so it's a surprise to me, too.
It's a good one -- I asked players for their favorite movie, and it's interesting how repetitive the answers were. Enjoy the selections from the Penguins players (and now-former Penguins players.
Owen Pickering: "Moneyball."
Jesse Puljujarvi: "Gladiator." I watched it a couple of years ago and I was shocked at how good it was.
Michael Bunting: "The Dark Knight Rises," with The Joker.
Cody Glass: Oh, there's so many. "Shawshank Redemption," "Shutter Island." I'm a big Leo(nardo DiCaprio) guy currently. And then "The Dark Knight Rises."
Drew O'Connor: I don't know if I should go comedy or serious .... "Old School." Yeah, that's it.
Sidney Crosby: "Gladiator."
P.O Joseph: It's a very good question. I mean, "Shawshank Redemption." Wow, I don't know. I've watched so many good movies. Marvel movies. "Harry Potter." I'm such a movie person.
Ryan Shea: "Goodwill Hunting."
Boko Imama: Oh, it's a Disney movie. "The Lion King," I really love it. (Me: The original or the live action?) The original!
Phil Tomasino: "Step Brothers." Is that a good one?
Blake Lizotte: "Batman Begins"
Vincent Desharnais: That's a tough one. I mean, I'm going to have to go "Home Alone." Every year I watch it, it's a classic. Growing up, it's probably the movie I remember watching the most with my family, every year we try to watch it together.
Matt Nieto: "Shawshank Redemption." It's a classic.
Tristan Jarry: "The Longest Yard."
Bryan Rust: "The Gladiator."
Valtteri Puustinen: I don't know about favorite, but I really like the "Bad Boys."
Joel Blomqvist: "Happy Gilmore." I mean, it's just so funny. I just laugh the whole movie.
Anthony Beauvillier: The easy answer would be "Shawshank Redemption." But I really liked "Focus" with Will Smith and Margot Robbie.
Noel Acciari: I'm going to change the question -- movies that you can turn on and sit down at whatever part it is and you have to watch it. For me, that's "Con Air," "The Patriot," "Shawshank" and "The Green Mile." Those four, wherever they are in the movie, it doesn't matter. I'll sit there and I'll finish.
Kris Letang: "The Game," with Michael Douglas.
Vasily Ponomarev: "Moneyball."
Sam Poulin: "Happy Gilmore," it's just hilarious.
Matt Grzelcyk: "Shawshank Redemption." It's always on, it's my dad's favorite. We'd always watch it together. Anytime it's on, I watch the whole thing.
Kevin Hayes: "The Replacements." It's a good sports movie, it has everything. A feel-good movie, a romantical movie.
Jack St. Ivany: "Shawshank Redemption."
Ryan Graves: That's too hard of a question! I don't like that question, there's like, 20 movies that are good. "Shawshank Redemption" is a good movie ... I'll just go with that.
Erik Karlsson: "Lord of the Rings" -- all three of them.
Rickard Rakell: "Lord of the Rings."
Marcus Pettersson: "Lord of the Rings," I don't know which one though. Me and Raks watched the new show "Rings of Power," when the rings get made. Then I started watching the movies again, I'm like, 'This is unbelievable.' "Return of the King" is probably my favorite.
Alex Nedeljkovic: "The Lord of the Rings" movies, the trilogy. If I had to put them in order, I'd go 3, 2, 1. "Return of the King," "Two Towers," then "Fellowship." (Me: I've never seen any of them). Uh,our interview is done!
