Nittany Lions freshman guard Kayden Mingo has entered the transfer portal. The Farmingdale, N.Y. native was the program's highest-rated recruit under head coach Mike Rhoades.
Mingo was a bright spot in a disappointing season, 12-20 overall, last in the Big Ten at 3-17. He averaged 13.7 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and led the Big Ten at 2.1 steals, while averaging a team-leading 32 minutes per game. Mingo finished second in total points to junior guard Freddie Dilione V.
Despite just being announced, North Carolina and Syracuse have emerged as potential destinations.
