Pirates option five, re-assign three to minor-league camp
The Pirates have optioned right-handed pitchers BrandanBidois, WilberDotel, ThomasHarrington, and AntwoneKelly,and outfielder EsmerlynValdez to Class AAA Indianapolis. They have also reassigned catcher OmarAlfonzo, right-handed pitcher KhristianCurtis and outfielder/infielder MitchJebb to minor-league camp.
There are now 54 players (53 active) remaining in major-league camp.

The Pirates have optioned right-handed pitchers Brandan Bidois, Wilber Dotel, Thomas Harrington, and Antwone Kelly, and outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez to Class AAA Indianapolis. They have also reassigned catcher Omar Alfonzo, right-handed pitcher Khristian Curtis and outfielder/infielder Mitch Jebb to minor-league camp.
There are now 54 players (53 active) remaining in major-league camp.
