• Schwarber wins All-Star Game MVP. Makes sense. What he did was clutch.
• Aranda doesn't hit any homers. National League wins.
• Schwarber hits homers with all three of his swings. NL now leads after two rounds, 4-3.
• Arozarena hits one.
• Stowers gets one. AL leading, 2-1, after first round.
• Rooker hits two homers on his three swings.
• Nine innings won't be enough. We go to a Home Run Derby swing off. National League will have Pete Alonso, Kyle Stowers and Kyle Schwarber. American League will send out Jonathan Aranda, Randy Arozarena and Brent Rooker. Each batter gets three swings. Team with most homers wins.
• RUN: Steven Kwon hits a tapper that's slow enough to reach base and drive in Witt. Tied, 6-6
• Matt Olson saves a run. Wow.
• RUN: Bobby Witt Jr. makes it a one-run game with an RBI double in the ninth. NL, 6-5
• Misiorowski brings the heat reaching 102.3 on his four-seam fastball, no runs, 1 hit.

• HOME RUN: Corbin Carroll goes yard with a solo shot. NL 6, AL 0.
• HOME RUN: Pete Alonso goes to right field for a three-run home run. NL 5, AL 0.
• My takeaway from tonight's start: It's about time Skenes got some run support.
• National League with the shutdown inning after two runs. Clayton Kershaw got the first two outs. One of the all-time greats.
• RUNS: Ketel Marte slaps one down the line in right field, scoring Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuna Jr. All three reach against Tarik Skubal to lead off the first. NL 2, AL 0
• Aaron Judge bounces out weakly on a 100 mph fastball inside. That's a 1-2-3 inning for Skenes. Should we have expected anything different?
• Riley Greene goes down swinging, too. Another 100-mph heater.
• Skenes gets Torres swinging. 100 mph up in the zone. Nasty.
• FIRST PITCH: Paul Skenes fires in the first pitch, and the 95th MLB All-Star Game is underway.
• National anthems done. Always a great scene:
CHRIS HALICKE / DKPS
