Jared Jones came out of his first live batting practice session on Friday feeling good and he's meeting all the benchmarks of his rehab, ToddTomczyk said this morning.
Jones, who underwent an InternalBrace procedure on May 21, is currently lining up for a 12-month return to full competition, but he'll certainly need a rehab stint before returning to the major-league club. The expiration of his stay on the 60-day injured list should line up with that 12-month benchmark as well.
"Not surprised because he’s Jared Jones," Tomczyk said. "He’s a hard-worker. He’s very intense. He’s very diligent. And he was very focused from day one."
