• BryanReynolds played in 118 games out in left field in 2024 and has over 3,000 innings of major-league experience out there. Last year, he shifted out to right. This year, maybe he moves back? So far here in camp, I've yet to see him do drills in right. Ryan O'Hearn has been there, in addition to first base at times. Reynolds said there had been talk this winter of left field being a possibility, and that's played out to date.
• JustinLawrence has a chance to be an important part of the bullpen mix this season. Perhaps an underrated piece of it considering the amount of time he missed last year. But when he was healthy, he was rather good. Took some more time to see him throw today and he looked healthy, as if he's firing on all cylinders already. Brought the velo with the sinker and the sweeper had its usual good movement to it.
• It was cool seeing pitching prospects like SethHernandez and ZanderMueth so very clearly excited to see PaulSkenes throw his bullpen today. Anytime he throws, it's not just appointment viewing for the fans. Even the highly-touted young pitching prospects want to get an up-close glimpse of what the National League Cy Young Award winner brings to the table.
