Despite being held without a hit in six innings against ShotaImanaga this afternoon, the Pirates managed to get the two big hits they needed upon his exit, securing a 2-0 win over the Cubs here at Wrigley Field
Ryan O'Hearn broke up the combined no-hit bid with a single to lead off the seventh inning before BryanReynolds went deep off CalebThielbar to give the Pirates some desperately needed offense:

Up until O'Hearn's single, Imanaga had allowed just one baserunner on a second-inning walk to OneilCruz and struck out nine. He leaned on his fastball-splitter combo and kept hitters off balance, generating 17 whiffs in the process. Meanwhile, on the other side, Carmen Mlodzinski did what he could to give his team a chance to win, allowing six hits over 5 1/3 scoreless innings. He walked three and struck out two.
