The Pirates have placed Braxton Ashcraft on the Bereavement/Family Medical Emergency List and recalled Cam Sanders from Class AAA Indianapolis.
Don Kelly said this afternoon that he anticipates Ashcraft to make his next start during the upcoming homestand. It's unclear if he'll start on his regularly scheduled day on Monday, though, since players placed on the bereavement list must miss a minimum of three days.
