• Loftin calls game with a walk-off single. Royals 4, Pirates 3

• Isaac Mattson replaces Santana.

• Caglianone flies out to right, allowing Garcia to move up to third with one out.

• Perez adds a second straight single to put runners on first and second with nobody out. Brings up Caglianone, who has already homered tonight. 

• Garcia leads off the home half of the ninth with a single off Santana.

• Suwinski and Frazier fly out to end the top of the ninth.

• Hayes gets himself into scoring position with a one-out double.

• End of eighth inning: Dennis Santana retires the Royals in order. Pasquantino made him work for it. Fouled off six straight pitches before popping out to Hayes.

• Gonzales grounds into a force out to end the threat. 

• RUN: Reynolds grounds into a fielder's choice, but it's a productive out. He reaches and the tying run scores. Tied at 3-3

• Pham walks to load the bases. Big spot here for Reynolds.

• Lucas Erceg commits an error on the pickoff throw and IKF moves up to second. Horwitz then walks to put two on with one out for Pham.

• IKF reaches on a one-out single.

• End of seventh inning: Isbel grounds out on the first pitch he sees from Ferguson.

• That's going to be it for Keller. A really solid outing up until Loftin's home run. Ferguson takes over. 

• HOME RUN: And just like that, Keller gives the lead back on Loftin's two-run home run to the left-field corner. It was a first-pitch slider left over the heart of the plate. Both home runs tonight have been misses in the middle of the plate. Royals, 3-2

• After a review, Perez is granted first for catcher's interference. 

• Keller gets a quick out to start the bottom half, but Caleb Ferguson is warming in the bullpen. 

• Suwinski strikes out looking for the second time. Zerpa tried to get him to chase on two sliders and then dotted a third right on the outside corner. 

• That brings an end to Lugo's day. Angel Zerpa has taken the mound. 

• HOME RUN: Gonzales sends a middle-middle slurve 427 feet to dead center. He got all of that one. Pirates, 2-1

• End of sixth inning: Keller makes it 15 straight batters set down as Pasquantino grounds out to second. 

• Keller really cruising right now. Has been nibbling around the zone. Had a few big misses to Witt before coming back into the zone to get a flyout.

• One groundout and two flyouts for the Pirates as they go down 1-2-3. Both teams have three hits and are 0 for 2 with runners in scoring position. 

• End of fifth inning: Keller falls behind 3-1, dots a fastball up-and-away and then changes Isbel's eye level with a down-and-in fastball on the inside edge for strike three. Nice sequence. 

• Keller throws three pitches and gets two outs. He's worked efficiently since giving up that home run.

• Not sure what the thought process was there. Davis doubled down the left field corner and then tried to steal third on the first pitch to IKF and was thrown out. 

• End of fourth inning: Keller really starting to settle in as he's retired nine straight. He did this during his last start at PNC Park as well. He struggled early and then really settled in. 

• HOME RUN: Holy cow. Cruz gives a Home Run Derby preview by launching an inside curveball 458 feet. It landed on the concourse above the fountains. Tied, 1-1

• Reynolds tried to hold up on a curveball in the dirt, but third-base umpire Brian O'Nora said he went and Reynolds was not happy about it.

• End of third inning: Keller strikes out the side as he gets Pasquantino to chase on a high fastball. He did it on 14 pitches and has retired six straight.

• Pham looks at an up-and-away curveball for strike three. It was indeed a strike. The Pirates have struck out three times, all of them have been looking. 

• Horwitz strokes one to right and it just seemed to die once it got in the air. I for sure thought it was going to carry a little further. 

• End of second inning: Keller makes one mistake before setting down the next three hitters. He's thrown 32 pitches through two innings. 

• HOME RUN: Keller hangs a changeup and Caglianone makes him pay for it as he sends one 421 feet into the right field seats. An absolute no-doubter. Royals, 1-0

• Pirates go down in order. Suwinski and Cruz both struck out looking while Hayes grounded out to third.

• End of first inning: Keller then gets out of it by striking out Perez with a slider at the bottom of the zone.

• With runners on first and third, Perez almost drives in at least one but it lands foul just out of reach of a diving Suwinski.

• IKF makes a nice move to his left and makes an off-balance, one-hop throw to first base that Horwitz misses. Witt is credited with a single. 

• Reynolds moves Pham to third with a sacrifice fly, but Gonzales' flyout ends the threat.

• After a Horwitz flyout, Pham strokes a middle-middle slider for a double into left center.
