Don Kelly said Konnor Griffin didn't steal in the 10th inning because of Orlando Ribalta's quick delivery to the plate.
"First pitch, he lifted his leg and went, it was a 1.4 something, and then he started slide stepping after that and it was pretty quick," Kelly said. "Wanted to give Bryan (Reynolds) and then (Jake) Mangum a chance to bring him in. We had (Ryan) O'Hearn on deck as well. Didn't want to take the bat out of his hands. Unfortunately, (Mangum) grounded into a double play. With Mang and Griff on the bases, it takes a ball right to second base to be able to turn that, and them slide-stepping to the plate in a 1-2ish situation, as fast as Griff is, that's still tough to steal on."
