Bruce Meyer has unanimously been elected as the seventh executive director in the history of the Major League Baseball Players’ Association.
Meyer was previously No. 2 at the union behind TonyClark, who resigned following an internal investigation that revealed an inappropriate relationship with his sister-in-law.
In his new role as chief of the union, Meyer will lead the way heading into a labor dispute that's expected to see the owners lock out the players over a fight for a salary cap system.
