Chatted with KonnorGriffin for a few minutes here this afternoon and asked him what he's learned the most about himself through his first 17 games as a major leaguer. He's experienced his share of ups and downs, but he said he's continued to remind himself to take everything one pitch at a time, as he navigates the ebbs and flows associated with playing at this level.
"It's hard," said Griffin, who is hitting .207 with a .553 OPS in his 17 games, but is batting .280 with a .708 OPS over his last seven. "You look at the scoreboard and the average and stuff like that is not where I want it to be, but it's still a long year. We've got a lot of games. I've been in the big leagues for just over two weeks, so you just gotta keep playing the games and getting the experience. At the end of the year, it's all going to be right where it should be. It's been fun, it's been challenging and it's been good for me."
